Tools and Unboxing Preparation

What you need

  • Screwdriver
  • Work gloves
  • Blade
  1. Open the box using a blade.
  2. Remove all items from inside the box.
  3. Remove and set aside all styrofoam packaging.
  4. Note that contents may change over time and contact DTF Station technicians if there are significant differences from the video.

Initial Unit Preparation

  1. Open the powder station lid.
  2. Remove the takeup reels and takeup reel brackets.
  3. Close the powder station lid.
  4. With at least two to three people, carefully lift and remove the unit from the box.
  5. Locate the rods underneath the Miro 13 Max.
  6. Remove protective films from all accessories.
  7. Place the styrofoam back into the box and retain it for future use.
  8. Retain all original packaging, including styrofoam, for warranty purposes for up to six months.
  9. Take a photo of the serial number sticker.
  10. Register the equipment on the Discord profile page using the serial number.

Bracket Assembly

  1. Locate the two brackets shown in the video.
  2. Find the knob screws in the Ziploc bag.
  3. Connect the brackets using three knob screws on each side.

Film Tension Rod Installation

  1. Locate the silver film tension rod.
  2. Insert the rod into the brackets using two bearings and knob screws.
  3. Insert the film alignment adjusting ring before locking the rod.
  4. Insert the knob screws on both sides.
  5. Adjust the rod until it is straight.
  6. Tighten the knob screws securely.

Takeup Reel Rod Installation

  1. Thread the two takeup reel rods into the brackets.
  2. Partially loosen the knobs on the takeup reels.
  3. Insert the takeup reels into the rods.
  4. Loosen the knobs on the brackets to center the rods.
  5. Once centered, tighten all knobs.
  6. Spread out the takeup reels.
  7. Insert the paper core onto the takeup reel.
  8. Center the paper core.
  9. Tighten the knob screw to secure the paper core.

Takeup Motor Connection

  1. Connect the takeup motor connector to the Miro 13 Max body.
  2. Ensure the connector is fully and properly seated.

Media Wheel Assembly

  1. Locate the media wheel components.
  2. Loosen the screws to insert the rods.
  3. Partially lock the rods in place.
  4. Do not overtighten to avoid bending the rods.
  5. Open the powder station lid.
  6. Place the media wheel into the groove inside the powder station.

Power Connection and Initial Power-On

  1. Locate the power cord.
  2. Plug the power cord into the unit.
  3. Plug the other end into a power source using a power strip to prevent sudden power loss.
  4. Turn on the main power.
  5. Verify that the display turns on.

Functional Testing

  1. Turn on the preheating button.
  2. Wait approximately 5 minutes.
  3. Verify the preheating platen is warming up.
  4. Turn on the purifier.
  5. Confirm the purifier fan is running.
  6. Turn on the shaking power.
  7. Adjust the shaking speed intensity control knob to increase or decrease paddle speed.
  8. Turn on the takeup reel power.
  9. Verify the takeup motor runs when the media wheel is engaged.

Temperature Settings and Film Notes

What you need

  • Main heating plate default temperature: 130 C
  • Preheating plate temperature range: 50 to 80 C
  • Color Prime Universal Film: warm peel film
  • Color Prime Quick Glide Film: hot peel film
  • Refer to the operation video for correct film settings
  • Contact a DTF Station technician if assistance is needed
  1. Press the reset button to set default temperatures.

Shutdown and Table Installation

What you need

  • Print Pro table is sold separately
  • Contact a local distributor to purchase the table
  • Refer to the Print Pro table installation video for table setup
  1. Turn off the main power.
  2. Unplug the power cord.
  3. Allow the unit to cool for several minutes.
  4. Move the unit onto the Print Pro table.
  5. Position the wheels with brakes facing outward to align with the table slots.
  6. Engage the brakes on all four wheels.
