Accessibility statement

We want anyone to be able to research a printer, find a dealer and reach our team, whatever they are using to browse.

What we aim for

We build against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We treat that as the target we work towards rather than a badge we claim: this site has not been audited by a third party or tested with assistive technology by its intended users, so we make no formal statement of conformance. What follows is what we have actually done and what we know still falls short.

What we have done

  • Every page can be operated by keyboard alone, and a "Skip to content" link is the first thing the Tab key reaches.
  • Focus is always visible. Form fields, buttons and links show a clear ring when tabbed to.
  • Text contrast was measured against the real page background, not assumed, and the muted grey used for labels and captions was darkened twice to clear the AA threshold.
  • Headings run in order and describe the section they open, so a screen reader can be used to move around the page.
  • Images carry text alternatives, and decorative ones are hidden from screen readers rather than announced as noise.
  • Tap targets in the navigation and footer are sized for a thumb, not a mouse pointer.
  • The site reflows to a single column on a phone with no sideways scrolling, and works at 200% zoom.
  • If your system asks for reduced motion, every animation and transition is switched off.
  • Forms tell you which field needs attention, in words, rather than only turning it red.

Where we know we fall short

These are real and we would rather tell you than let you find out:

  • Warranty documents. The warranty PDFs are scans of signed documents. They are not tagged for screen readers and the text in them cannot reliably be selected or read aloud. If you need any of them in a readable format, ask us and we will send you one.
  • Embedded video. Training and setup videos are hosted on YouTube and play in YouTube's own player, which we do not control. Captions depend on the individual video.
  • The chat assistant. It can be opened and used by keyboard, but it has not been tested with a screen reader. Everything it can tell you is also on the site or available by phone and email.
  • The comparison table. It is a large table of figures. It reflows into blocks on a phone, but on any screen it is dense, and we have not tested how it reads aloud.
  • No independent audit. Nobody outside the company has reviewed this site for accessibility, and we have not run testing sessions with disabled users.
