Unboxing and Initial Setup

Watch this part0:01
  1. Use a blade to open the box and remove all items.
  2. Identify the numbered label stickers on each part.
  3. Locate label number one and remove the instruction manual and two wire racks.
  4. Locate label number two, which indicates the bottom catch tray (crumb tray).

Installing Internal Components

  1. Place the Mars 136 on a table.
  2. Remove all transport tapes from the unit.
  3. Remove the label sticker from the crumb tray.
  4. Insert the crumb tray into the bottom area labeled number two.
  5. Set the operational manual aside.
  6. Insert the two wire racks labeled number one into the oven.
  7. Close the oven cover to complete installation.

Power On and Control Panel Operation

  1. Plug in the Mars 136.
  2. Turn on the oven by tapping the power icon.
  3. Tap the clock icon to set the baking time.
  4. Tap the thermometer icon to set the temperature.
  5. Tap the F symbol to switch the temperature unit from Celsius to Fahrenheit if needed.

Time and Temperature Settings Example

  2. Use the plus or minus symbols to set the time to 12 minutes.
  3. Tap the clock icon again to confirm.
  4. Tap the thermometer icon once.
  5. Use the plus or minus symbols to set the temperature to 180 C.

  7. Tap the play/pause icon to begin heating.

Heating Behavior and Monitoring

What you need

  • Display shows current oven temperature
  • Temperature rises to the set value
  • Heating time is approximately 4 to 6 minutes in summer
  • Heating time may be longer in winter

Tumbler Preparation

  1. Remove the tumbler lid.
  2. Wrap sublimated paper around the tumbler using the jig.
  3. Secure the paper using heat tape.
  4. Cut the 150 mm shrink wrap sleeve, leaving at least 1/4 inch margin on each end.
  5. Place the shrink wrap sleeve over the wrapped tumbler.
  6. Position the tumbler on the jig.

Heat Gun Setup and Shrink Wrapping

  1. Turn on the heat gun.
  2. Adjust the temperature to 350 F using the plus or minus symbols.
  3. Increase blow intensity to maximum level (three bars).
  4. Wear heat resistant gloves.
  5. Hold the heat gun 8 to 10 cm away from the tumbler.
  6. Move the heat gun slowly from one end to the other to remove air and tighten the sleeve.

Oven Loading and Curing

  1. Place prepared tumblers onto the wire rack.
  2. When the oven reaches 180 C, wear heat resistant gloves.
  3. Open the oven and place the wire rack inside.
  4. Close the oven door.
  5. Tap the play symbol to start the timer.
  6. Monitor the temperature as it drops and returns to the set point.
  7. Wait for the oven prompt indicating less than 1 minute remaining.

Unloading and Finishing

  1. Open the oven when the timer reaches zero.
  2. Remove the wire rack.
  3. Allow tumblers to cool for 1 minute.
  4. Peel off the shrink wrap sleeves while the tumblers are still warm.
  5. Locate and remove the green heat resistant tape.
  6. Unwrap the tumbler completely.

Maintenance and Cleaning Preparation

  1. Turn off the oven.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall.
  3. Allow the oven to cool to room temperature.
  4. Wait approximately 20 to 30 minutes in summer or less in winter.

Cleaning Procedure

  1. Clean the wire rack using a lint-free cloth soaked in distilled water.
  2. Clean the inside of the oven following the method shown in the video.
  3. Clean the crumb tray.
  4. Clean the bottom surface of the oven.
  5. Clean the seal strip.

Reassembly and Completion

  1. Reinstall the crumb tray.
  2. Reinstall the wire rack in their original positions.
  3. Close the oven to complete maintenance.
