Locate the Quick Start Guide

Locate the USB drive included with your printer.
If the USB drive is missing or its contents are unavailable, check the email received from the dealer where the printer was purchased.
Find the Quick Start Guide URL link provided in that email.
Double-click the Quick Start Guide PDF file.
Click on Important Resources.
Download the Quick Start Guide PDF.
Save a copy of the PDF to your desktop.

Store the Quick Start Guide

Store the file in an easily accessible location.

Arc 127 Cutter Uncrating and Initial Assembly

Required Tools and Warranty Notice

What you need

17 mm nut driver bit
Metric hex screwdriver set
Wrench or pliers
Drill
Hammer
Forklift or lift straps
Minimum of six people if lifting manually

Store the original crate for at least 6 months to comply with warranty requirements.

Remove Top of Crate

Loosen and remove all top hex screws.
Lift off the top crate panel.
Place all screws and bolts into a box for storage.

Remove Side Panels

Use a wrench or pliers to hold the nut.
Use a drill to loosen the screws around the side panels.
Remove all screws around the crate.
Use a hammer to carefully pop out each side panel.
Remove the top supporting frame.
Remove side panels one by one.
Carefully remove the plastic cover, paying close attention to the screen attachment on the left side.

Remove Cutter From Crate

Remove all accessory boxes from the crate.
Remove the wooden slab pieces.
Lift the cutter off the crate.
Use a forklift if available to prevent damage.
If a forklift is not available, use lift straps.
Use at least six people when lifting manually.
Retract the foot stoppers.

Unpack Accessories and Screen Assembly

Unpack all accessories.
Review all items to confirm nothing is missing.
If any items are missing, contact DTF Station tech support.
Carefully remove plastic wrap from the screen attachment.
Attach the screen assembly to the cutter body.
Inspect all screen and board connections.
Push in any partially loose connectors.
If unsure, leave the screen as-is and contact a DTF Station technician.

Media Assembly Installation

Locate the rounded edge rod.
Insert it into the designated slot.
Loosen screws and attach the media attachment assembly brackets.
Insert all three screws without tightening.
Loosen rod screws.
Slide in the media holding rods.
Center both rods.
Tighten the rod screws without overtightening.
Tighten the bracket screws once rods are secured.

Electrical Inspection

Turn the cutter around.
Open the bottom cover.
Inspect all breaker connections.
Slightly loosen each wire screw.
Push wires in firmly.
Retighten all breaker screws.
Check for any loose wires.
Close the cover.

Catch Basket Installation

Partially loosen the designated screws.
Slide the catch basket brackets into place.
Install the catch basket as shown.

Air Compressor Silencer and Connection

Assemble the air compressor silencer.
Apply plumber’s tape to the valve threads.
Attach the female coupler securely.
Locate the air pipe with the male coupler.
Connect it to the female coupler.
Plug in the power cord.
Release the power button.
Open the air valve.
Verify air pressure exceeds 60 PSI.

Air Regulator Adjustment

Open the backside cover.
Locate the air regulator pressure gauge.
Set pressure to 20 PSI or approximately 0.5 bar.
Release the top black knob.
Turn clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust.
Have a DTF Station technician review settings if needed.

Blade Installation

Locate the blade and blade holders from the accessory box.
Install the blade into the holder as shown.
Verify proper blade exposure by viewing from a straight angle.
Ensure only the blade tip is barely visible.
Avoid excessive blade exposure to prevent belt and blade damage.
Attach the blade holder to the carriage.
Lock it into place.

Electrical Power Connection

Inspect all plug wire connections.
Ensure wires are fully seated.
If necessary, have an electrician inspect wiring.
For 110V versions, connect the two plugs to separate breakers.
Confirm the vacuum connector is on a breaker rated for up to 20 amps.
Plug all cords into outlets.
Release the emergency stop button.
Press the power button.

Functional Testing

Use the screen controls to test left, right, up, and down arrow buttons.
Verify the cutter carriage responds correctly.
Place film or paper on the belt.
Activate the vacuum button.
Attempt to move the film or paper to verify vacuum pressure.
Press the clamp button.
Confirm the clamp lowers to the belt.

3. How to Setup Driver on DigiRIP

Install Arc 127 Driver in Digital Factory

Install Printer Driver

Launch the Digital Factory installer.
If prompted for a first-time installation, click Next.
Click Next again.
Click Install Printer.
Select the printer driver.
Choose Universal Controller Driver Plus.
Click OK.
Click Next.
Allow the device packages to download.
Click Next once the download is complete.
Select the TCP/IP port.
Click Next.
Click Finish.

Open Digital Factory and Verify Driver

Open Digital Factory.
Confirm the Universal Controller driver appears in the queue.
Click Devices.
Select Manage Devices.
Click the Install Cutter icon.

Upgrade Cutter Add-On License (If Required)

If the Install Cutter icon is disabled, click Help.
Select Upgrade License.
Enter the cutter add-on upgrade code provided to you.
If no upgrade code is available, confirm whether the cutter add-on was purchased.
Contact your distributor if planning to purchase the cutter add-on.

Locate License File Number

Click Help.
Click About Digital Factory.
Verify the version is Digital Factory 11.
Click More.
Locate the license file number starting with the letter P.
Write down the license file number for your distributor.

Apply Upgrade Code

Return to the Help tab.
Click Upgrade License.
Enter the upgrade code.
Restart Digital Factory if prompted.

Install Arc 127 Cutter

Click Devices.
Select Manage Devices.
Click the Install Cutter icon.
Search for Arc 127.
Select Arc 127.
Click OK.
Click Next.
Click Finish.

Associate Cutter to Queue

Click Q.
Select Manage Queues.
Open the Device drop-down menu.
Select Arc 127.
Click Yes.

Configure Output Port

Open the Port drop-down menu.
If COM options are unavailable, click File.
Select Port Properties.
Set the output folder.
Click the three-dot icon.
Select Desktop or desired folder.
Click OK.
Choose Job Name or prompt for name as the output file option.
Click OK.
Close the window.

Confirm the Arc 127 driver is installed and associated correctly.

Locate the queue folder downloaded from Google Drive.
Find the queue file for XL3.
Drag and drop the XL3 Arc 127 queue file into DigiRIP.

Install and Activate Queue

Confirm the new Arc 127 queue is installed.
Check whether the queue is active.
If inactive, go to the Main tab.
Click Start/Stop Queue to enable the queue.

Extract the zip file.
Locate the queue files for your specific printer.

Open Existing Printer Queue

Open DigiRIP.
Navigate to the Aries 124 queue.
Confirm this is the regular UV DTF queue.

Import Arc 127 Queue

Select the queue file for Aries 124.
Drag and drop the file into DigiRIP.
When the queue installation popup appears, click Yes.
Confirm the Arc 127 queue is installed.

Activate Arc 127 Queue

Verify the queue is inactive after installation.
Go to the Main tab.
Click Start/Stop Queue to activate the queue.

Open the setup package.
Click Extract.

Configure DigiRIP for USB Cable Connection

Locate the Arc 127 queue for your printer.
Go to Q.
Select Manage Queues.
Scroll down to the Arc 127 port settings.
Select COM3 if the driver installed successfully.
Import your files and complete the layout.
Go to Cut Jobs.
When prompted, manually move blade one to the first registration mark.
Return to DigiRIP and click OK.
Allow the cutting process to begin.

Ethernet Cable Connection and Network Setup

Open Windows Settings.
Go to Network and Internet.
Select Ethernet.
Locate the IPv4 address section.
Click Edit.
Set IP settings to Manual.
Turn IPv4 On.
Enter IP address 192.168.0.233.
Set Preferred DNS to 114.114.114.114.
Turn DNS over HTTPS Off.
Save the settings.

Configure DigiRIP for Ethernet Connection

Locate the Arc 127 queue for your printer.
Go to Q.
Select Manage Queues.
Select TCP/IP as the port type.
Enter IP address 192.168.0.233.
Set protocol to RAW.
Set port number to 9100.
Leave other settings as default.
Click OK.
Import your files and complete the layout.
Manually move blade one to the first registration mark.
Go to Cut Jobs.
Start the cutting process.

7. How to Prepare Cutter for Operation

Pre-Operation Setup for Arc 127 Cutter

Select Location and Secure Cutter

Ensure access to all four sides of the cutter.
Allow a minimum of 2 feet of working space around the cutter.
Once positioned, tighten the four foot stoppers to stabilize the cutter during operation.

Power Requirements

Confirm the cutter has dedicated power.
For 220V versions, use the single plug that powers both the machine and the vacuum.
Ensure the outlet can handle at least 20 amps.
For 110V versions, connect the two plugs to separate breakers.
Confirm the vacuum connector is on a breaker rated for up to 20 amps.
