What you need
- Screwdriver
- Lint-free cloth
- Masking tape
- Gloves (recommended)
Step 1 – Prepare the Printer
- Remove the two screws on the top of the printer.
- Open the printer lid fully.
- Press the Up Arrow key to remove any media from the printer bed.
- Press the Left Arrow key to move the carriage to the center of the printer.
- Turn the printer off.
- Loosen the indicated screws on the top lid.
- Lift the lid upward to open it.
- Go to the printer carriage.
- Remove the indicated screws.
- Remove the outer carriage shell.
- Lock the two tube clips to prevent ink spillage.
- Take a picture of the ribbon cable routing and folding.
- Carefully remove the tape securing the ribbon cables.
- Identify H1 cables for CMYK and H2 cables for White.
- Remove the two H2 ribbon cables.
- Remove the far-right damper to expose two screws.
- Remove the two screws.
- Reinstall the damper temporarily.
- Repeat the process on the far-left damper.
- Locate and remove the upper bracket by removing two screws.
- Place a lint-free cloth nearby.
- Remove all white ink dampers carefully.
- Remove the H2 ribbon cables completely.
- Place the white dampers on the lint-free cloth.
- Remove the white print head and set it aside.
- Confirm all CMYK tube clips are locked.
- Remove the right-side CMYK damper.
- Remove the two screws and reinstall the damper temporarily.
- Remove the left-side CMYK damper.
- Remove the two screws and reinstall the damper.
- Bring over the white print head.
- Confirm the raised wall orientation faces the back.
- Transfer CMYK dampers from the CMYK head to the white head.
- Apply firm downward pressure to seat each damper.
- Set the CMYK print head aside.
- Install the white print head into the CMYK position.
- Insert the right-side screws carefully.
- Seat screws by turning counterclockwise until threads align.
- Tighten clockwise by hand only.
- Do not overtighten.
- Reinstall the right damper.
- Repeat the process for the left side.
- Unlock all tube clips.
- Install the CMYK print head into the white position.
- Secure it with four screws.
- Transfer white dampers onto the CMYK head.
- Press firmly to ensure proper seating.
- Connect the right white ribbon cable to the first H2 slot with teeth facing you and blue tape facing away.
- Connect the left white ribbon cable to the second H2 slot with blue tape facing you.
- Connect the CMYK ribbon cable to the H1 slot with teeth facing you.
- Connect the remaining ribbon cable to the upper port with teeth facing away and blue tape facing you.
- Do not touch ribbon cable contact teeth.
- Reinstall the cable bracket.
- Secure it with two screws.
- Reorganize ribbon cables using the reference photo.
- Secure cables together with masking tape.
- Unlock the remaining tube clips.
What you need
- If a red light appears, contact DTF Station immediately
- Turn the printer on from the rear switch.
- Monitor ribbon cables closely during startup.
- Wait for the printer to reach Idle status.
- Check for three green indicator lights on top of the carriage.
- Press and hold the Down Arrow key to advance media.
- Position side media guides.
- Press Menu.
- Navigate to Head Maintenance.
- Select Fill Ink.
- Choose Two Head.
- Run Fill Ink for 10 seconds.
- Press Cancel.
What you need
- Hosonsoft must be running to perform nozzle check
- Press the Cleaning button to perform a head cleaning.
- Verify capping station and wiper blade contact.
- Press Menu.
- Navigate to Head Maintenance.
- Select Head Status.
- Perform a nozzle check.
- Press and hold the Up Arrow key to remove media.
- Move the carriage to the center.
- Reinstall the carriage cover and secure with screws.
- Reinstall the top cover and secure with screws.
- Power the printer on.
- Allow the carriage to dock automatically.
- Close the lid and secure with two screws.

- Nozzle check acceptable
- Printer ready for operation
