  1. Remove any media currently loaded in the printer.
  2. Lift the pinch roller lever.
  3. Roll the media back up and remove it from the printer.

Move Carriage to Adjustment Position

  1. Open the top lid of the printer.
  2. Press the Left Arrow key once to disengage the carriage from the capping station.
  3. Press and hold the Left Arrow key to move the carriage to the center of the printer bed.
  4. Press the Emergency Stop button to power the printer off.

Remove Covers

  1. Use a screwdriver to loosen all screws on both sides of: Printer carriage cover
  2. Do not fully remove the screws.
  3. Remove both covers once loosened.
  • Daughterboard cover

Locate Carriage Height Adjustment Screws

  1. Locate the two height adjustment screws on each side of the interior carriage.
  2. Loosening these screws allows the carriage height to move up or down.

OPTIONS

  • Official metal height plates (recommended)
  • Quarter placed on top of each media guide (alternative method)

Loosen Height Adjustment Screws

  1. Loosen all four carriage height screws evenly.
  2. Do not remove the screws.

Set Correct Carriage Height

  1. Place the metal plates (or quarters) on both sides of the carriage.
  2. Plates must sit inside the carriage guards.
  3. Ensure plates do NOT contact the print head.
  • The print head sits lower and centered in the carriage.

Secure Height Evenly

  1. Lightly press the carriage down against the plates.
  2. Begin tightening the four screws gradually.
  3. Alternate tightening across both sides to maintain even pressure.
  4. Do not fully tighten one side before the other.

Final Tightening

  1. Remove the metal plates (or quarters).
  2. Fully tighten all four carriage height screws.

Clearance Verification

  1. Bring the media guides inward.
  2. Slowly move the carriage left and right.
  3. Confirm the carriage does NOT contact the media guides.

Reassemble Printer

  1. Reinstall the printer carriage cover.
  2. Tighten all screws on both sides.
  3. Reinstall the daughterboard cover.
  4. Tighten all screws.

Power On & Final Check

  1. Release the Emergency Stop button.
  2. Power the printer back on.
  3. Allow the carriage to dock onto the capping station.
  • Printer carriage height correctly set
  • No contact with media guides
  • Proper clearance for safe operation
