Prestige R2 - How to Adjust Height of Media Feed Reel or Media Attachment

REASONS TO ADJUST FEED REEL HEIGHT

• Excessive shaking or vibration during printing
• Media roll making contact with the ink bay
• Vertical lines appearing on prints caused by media interference
• Rotating feet clockwise lowers height
• Rotating feet counterclockwise raises height

1. Before attaching the feed reel, rotate all printer feet counterclockwise.
2. Raise each foot evenly.
3. Use a leveler to confirm the printer is level from left to right and front to back.

1. Position the feed reel on top of the same table the printer is resting on.
2. Use an Allen wrench to install the feed reel bolts.
3. Install the center bolt first.
4. Insert all five bolts.
5. Once all bolts are partially threaded and the feed reel is aligned, tighten all five bolts fully.

• Both feed reel feet must sit fully on the table surface.
• Do not fully tighten yet.

1. Load media onto the feed reel.
2. Check if the media roll is contacting the ink bay.
3. Watch for symptoms of contact: Physical rubbing against the ink bay

• Vertical line artifacts appearing in prints

1. Rotate both feed reel feet counterclockwise to lower the feed reel.
2. Lower both sides evenly.
3. Recheck media clearance.
4. Confirm: Media does not touch the ink bay END RESULT

• Printer remains level
• Media feeds smoothly without shaking
• Printer is level
• Feed reel height is properly set
• Media feeds cleanly with no contact or vibration issues
