What you need

  • Perform regular morning maintenance first
  1. Open the printer cover
  2. Open the capping station cover
  3. Press the Enter or Home button
  4. Ensure the print head carriage is centered
  5. Confirm the print head is tightly sealed on the capping station cap SECTION (00:00:48) Pulling Ink from the Waste Ink Tube
  6. Remove the waste ink tube from the waste ink bottle
  7. Securely connect the tube to the syringe
  8. Pull the syringe firmly to create suction

  10. Pull as strongly as possible and do not release
  11. Expect approximately 10 mL of air in the syringe

  13. Disconnect the syringe once resistance stops
  14. Remove ink from the syringe without pushing it back into the tube
  15. Reconnect the syringe
  16. Pull again with strong pressure

  18. Reinsert the tube into the waste ink bottle
  19. Perform two head cleanings consecutively

  22. Close all covers
  23. Perform a nozzle check
  24. Compare results with the video example
