5. Turn on the ink level monitoring system.

1. Soak a lint-free cloth with 90 percent or higher isopropyl alcohol.
2. Gently wrap the cloth around the encoder strip using your thumb and index finger.
3. Move the cloth from left to right along the strip.
4. Remove any visible residue.

6. Use a new, dry lint-free cloth.
7. Do not use alcohol on media rollers or any rubber components.
8. Gently wipe the rollers to remove buildup.
9. If residue remains, lightly dampen the cloth with water.

11. Use a clean lint-free cloth lightly soaked with isopropyl alcohol.
12. Wipe the area containing the vacuum holes.
13. Clean the front heating element to remove accumulated residue.

15. Go to the back of the printer.
16. Remove the waste ink bottle.
17. Dispose of waste ink according to local regulations.
18. Reinstall the waste bottle.
19. Ensure the waste tube is correctly inserted into the bottle.

SECTION 1 Gaining Access to the Ink Bay

1. Locate the ink bay on the printer.
2. Remove five screws total: Three screws on the front
3. Remove the ink bay cover and set it aside. SECTION 2 Disconnecting the White Ink Container
4. Locate the white ink container.
5. Tighten the ink container cap.
6. Close the valve on the container.
7. Cut and remove the zip tie securing the cables.
8. Follow the cable to the connector and unplug it. This is the white ink stirrer cable.
9. Trace the cables down through the side hole of the ink bay and disconnect both connectors.
10. Pull the cable out from the top.
11. Disconnect the split cable connection.
12. Remove the ink tubes: Use scissors to gently pry the tube open
13. Wrap each tube end with a paper towel and secure with tape to prevent ink spills.
14. Remove the ink container from the ink bay.
15. Open the cap and dispose of remaining ink according to local regulations. SECTION 3 Cleaning the White Ink Container
16. Take the container to a sink.
17. Rinse the container with water and dispose of the water properly.
18. Repeat rinsing several times.
19. Remove the white ink stirrer by taking out the two screws.
20. Rinse and clean the ink stirrer.
21. Add a small amount of water to the container.
22. Use a cleaning swab to scrape solidified ink from the bottom.
23. Dispose of contaminated water.
24. Repeat until no solidified ink remains.
25. Perform a final rinse.
26. Allow the container and connectors to fully dry. SECTION 4 Draining the Ink Lines
27. Turn the printer on.
28. Remove the tape and paper towel from the top white ink tube.
29. Place the tube into the waste ink container.
30. Set white ink circulation to maximum power.
31. Turn circulation on and observe the tube.
32. Wait until all ink is cleared and only air is flowing.
33. Turn circulation off.
34. Lower circulation power to prevent air introduction.
35. Turn the printer off.
36. Shake the new white ink bottle for 30 seconds.
37. Let the bottle sit for at least 5 minutes to allow bubbles to settle. SECTION 5 Reassembly of the Ink Container
38. Insert the white ink stirrer back into the container.
39. Secure the stirrer with two screws.
40. Place the ink container back into the ink bay.
41. Reconnect both ink tubes fully.
42. Route the cable back through the ink bay side hole.
43. If any connectors may have contacted water: Let them dry for at least 24 hours
44. Connect the split cable connectors.
45. Connect the final cable to its port.
46. Place the ink bay cover back on but do not secure with screws yet. SECTION 6 Ink Charge and White Ink Recovery
47. Fill the ink container with white ink.
48. Close the container cap loosely to allow airflow.
49. Open the valve on the container.
50. Set white ink circulation intensity to 100 percent.
51. Run one full circulation cycle.
52. Turn circulation off and lower power.
53. Perform a fill ink operation for one minute on H2 only.
54. While filling: Check that the H2 pump is running
55. After fill ink completes: Perform two head cleanings back to back
56. Run a nozzle check. If white ink is not fully recovered:
57. Rotate the H2 pump counterclockwise to remove it.
58. Disconnect the tube leading to the capping station.
59. Attach a syringe to the tube.
60. Pull the syringe fully and hold to create strong negative pressure.
61. Repeat pulling two to three times.
62. Reconnect the tube carefully.
63. Reinstall and lock the pump. SECTION 7 Final Steps
64. Turn the printer back on.
65. Perform two head cleanings back to back.
66. Run a final nozzle check.
67. If the nozzle check is good: Secure the ink bay cover with five screws

• Match colors correctly: black to black, white to white
• Puncture two holes in the ink bottle for smoother pouring.
• Check the waste ink tube for proper ink flow
• Pull at least 20 ml each time
• Ensure the tube is straight with no twists
