How to Perform a Reverse Waterfall and Standard Waterfall

What you need

  • Print head
  1. Prepare the cleaning solution: Run the solution through a disk filter to remove contaminants.
  2. Prepare the storage box: Pour cleaning solution to the designated fill line.
  3. Submerge the print head: Carefully submerge ONLY the face of the print head.
  4. Connect the syringe: Attach the tube from the printer to the print head.
  5. Pull cleaning solution (Reverse Waterfall): Pull slowly with the syringe.
  6. Refill and repeat: Refill the storage box with fresh solution.
  7. Drain old solution: Pour remaining solution out of the print head box.
  8. Prepare fresh solution: Pour fresh cleaning solution into a clean cup.
  9. Push cleaning solution (Standard Waterfall): Connect the syringe to the print head.
  10. Verify flow: Cleaning solution should visibly flow out of the print head face.
  11. Repeat: Perform this step for EACH channel.
  12. Dry the print head: Use a lint-free cloth.
  13. Inspection: Ensure no excess solution remains.
  • Print head storage box (OEM recommended)
  • Lint-free cloth
  • Syringe
  • Cleaning solution
  • Two cups (clean solution + waste solution)
  • If you do not have the OEM storage box, you may use any clean container as long as:
  • The print head face can be submerged
  • NO electrical components contact liquid
  • Avoid ALL liquid contact with electrical connection points on the print head.
  • 00:01:01 STEP 1 – REVERSE WATERFALL (MUST BE DONE FIRST)
  • If unsure how to do this, stop and contact tech support.
  • Lightly warm the solution in a microwave.
  • Warm only — DO NOT overheat.
  • Verify the height does not exceed the safe level.
  • Test placement before inserting the print head.
  • Ensure no electrical components touch the solution.
  • Push the tube fully in for a solid seal.
  • Continue pulling until bubbles appear in the syringe.
  • Bubbles indicate the channel has been fully pulled.
  • Dispose of used solution into a separate waste container.
  • Keep the print head face submerged at all times.
  • Repeat for EACH channel.
  • 00:02:33 STEP 2 – STANDARD WATERFALL
  • Use a clean syringe to draw a full syringe.
  • Hold the print head over the waste container.
  • Slowly and gently push solution through the channel.
  • Do NOT force the syringe.
  • 00:03:05 FINAL CLEANUP
  • GENTLY dab the bottom of the print head.
  • Do NOT wipe the face directly.
  • Verify electrical contacts are completely dry.
