Printer Preparation
- Power off the printer.
- Open the printer cover.
- Unlock the printer carriage by rotating the carriage lock knob.
- Move the carriage out of the way to access the wiper blade assembly.
Removing the Wiper Blade Assembly
- Use a screwdriver to loosen the two screws securing the wiper blade assembly.
- Slide the wiper blade assembly out of its slot.
- Remove the three screws holding the rubber wiper blade to the holder.
- Separate the wiper blade from the holder.
Cleaning or Replacing the Wiper Blade
Watch this part0:50- Use a lint-free cloth to clean the metal brackets.
- Clean the existing wiper blade thoroughly if reusing it.
- Alternatively, replace the old wiper blade with a new one.
- Clean the area where the wiper blade sits, as excess ink can accumulate there.
Reinstalling the Wiper Blade Assembly
Watch this part2:12- Reinsert the rubber wiper blade into the bracket, noting the correct blade orientation.
- Attach the L-shaped bracket and secure it using the three screws.
- Slide the assembled wiper blade back into its slot.
- Tighten the two screws to secure the wiper blade assembly in place.
