This guide walks through installing DTF Station Pilot and configuring the network port for a Prestige R1 DTF printer. Installing DTF Station Pilot
Double-click the downloaded **.exe** installation file. Follow the on-screen prompts. Accept the license terms. Allow installation of: Microsoft Visual C++ Each package should take **under 1 minute**. Other required software packages Launching Pilot & Initial Checks
If installation appears stuck: Check the **taskbar** for pop-up windows. Complete any prompts that require confirmation. Once installed, rename the **DTF Station Pilot** icon to **R1**. Double-click the icon to launch Pilot. Ethernet Connection Setup
**Left connection symbol (blinking red)**: Computer is not communicating with the printer. **Right light bulb (red or yellow)**: Errors are present. Click the **light bulb** to open the **Log** tab. Connect the **Ethernet cable**. Turn **printer power ON**. Connection symbol may still blink red initially. Click **Windows Start**. Type **Ethernet** and open **Ethernet Settings**. Look for an **Unidentified Network**. Click **Change adapter options**. Temporarily unplug the Ethernet cable. Observe which adapter disconnects. The adapter that turns off is the printer connection Network Configuration in Pilot Return to **DTF Station Pilot**. Go to **Advanced** → **Admin Menu** → **Network**. Choose the confirmed Ethernet adapter from the dropdown. Enter an IP that matches the **Server IP** except for the last two digits. Click **Set**, then **OK**. Wait **5–10 seconds**. Confirming Connection Example format: `192.168.1.XX` Do **not** use **10** for the last digits. Example used: **192.168.1.16** turn **green**. Troubleshooting
A **Loading Parameters** window appears. Both: **Connection symbol** **Light bulb** Update: Printer **motherboard** **Firmware** Try the following: Replace the Ethernet cable. Use a different Ethernet adapter. Change the last two digits of the IP (e.g., 17 or 18). Contact **DTF Station Support**.
