Neostampa Advanced Operation Tutorial

This guide summarizes the second NeoStampa operation training session. It focuses on: Section 1: Downloading & Updating NeoStampa

• Software download and updates
• Trial licensing and activation
• Manual license updates
• What users should and should not change in profiles
• Basic operational best practices

You can access NeoStampa through:

• USB flash drive provided with equipment
• Google Drive linked in the Quick Start Guide
• DTF Station Discord (recommended)

1. Open the DTF Station Discord.
2. Search for **Resources** using: Channel search, or
3. Open the Resources channel.
4. Locate the Google Drive link containing: NeoStampa installers
5. Save or favorite this Google Drive for quick access.

• Ctrl + F → type “resource”.
• Printer profiles & schemes
• ICC profiles
• Maintenance charts
• Pilot software downloads

• NeoStampa releases updates **monthly**.
• Not all updates are DTF-specific.
• DTF Station filters updates and will advise when updates are necessary.
• Example:
• Version **25.4** may cause white ink or choke issues.
• Recommended minimum: **25.5**
• Example shown: **25.6** (latest at time of training)

Installing or Updating NeoStampa

• Open NeoStampa → Help → About
• Confirm your installed version number.

1. Download the installer from the Google Drive.
2. Close NeoStampa completely before installing.
3. Run the installer.
4. Select language.
5. Accept terms → Install.
6. The installer will overwrite the previous version.

Section 2: Trial Licenses & Team Access

• Error occurs if NeoStampa is still open.
• Solution:
• Fully close NeoStampa.
• Restart the installer.

• One trial license per:
• One computer
• One email address
• Example:
• 10 computers + 10 emails = 10 trial licenses

To request a trial, provide:

• **UYU ID**
• **Company email address** (preferred)

• Appears during NeoStampa installation or launch
• Displayed alongside the email field

You may see:

• “Trial expires in XX hours”
• “Trial expired XX days ago”

Section 3: Manual License Update (XAT File)

• Contact DTF Station or Tony Lee
• Trial extensions may be granted once
• Typical extensions: 15–30 days

1. Open **NeoStampa**.
2. Go to **Help** → **License / Activation Keys**.
3. Select **Explore**.
4. Choose the latest **XAT file** provided.
5. Click **Apply**.
6. Confirm “Activated successfully”.
7. Click **OK** to refresh the software. Section 4: What NOT to Change in Profiles

Do NOT change: Reason: Section 5: What Users CAN Adjust Safely

• **Ink configuration files**
• **ICC color profiles**
• Core color mapping settings
• Modifying these can cause severe color inaccuracies
• Example issues:
• Blue printing as black
• Completely incorrect color output

Safe and common adjustments:

• White ink intensity
• Choke
• Highlight settings
• White-related print mode settings

Section 6: Color Rendering Intent

• Certain halftone and textile-specific options
• Leave these at default unless instructed

• **Perceptual** (Default)
• Most accurate color reproduction
• Recommended for general DTF use
• **Saturation**
• More vivid, sharper colors
• Useful when higher saturation is desired

1. Open scheme settings.
2. Navigate to **Color**.
3. Change rendering intent: Perceptual → Saturation (if needed)

• Do not rename scheme files directly in the system folder.
• This can corrupt the profile and color output.

1. Open the scheme in NeoStampa.
2. Click **Save As**.
3. Enter a new scheme name.
4. Save.
