Printer Preparation and Nozzle Check

  1. Complete daily printer maintenance tasks including white ink agitation, ink circulation, ink filling, and two head cleanings.
  2. Open DTF Station Pilot software.
  3. Perform a nozzle check.
  4. Check whether the nozzle pattern is printing on or too far from the media guide.
  5. Reset and adjust the print start position as needed.
  6. Set the print start position close to the media guide to maximize print width.
  7. Ensure nozzle check quality is acceptable to prevent banding and color accuracy issues.
  8. Refer to daily maintenance videos if issues persist.

Positioning the Miro 24

  1. Move the Miro 24 to the front of the printer.
  2. Raise the preheating platen.
  3. Adjust the platen height using the screws so the film touches the preheating platen during printing.
  4. Align the preheating platen with the center of the film, not the printer body.
  5. Press the down button on the printer control panel to release the film into the center position.
  6. Lock the Miro 24 wheels to prevent movement.

Media Wheel Setup

  2. Measure the width of the film.
  3. Semi-tighten the media wheel to allow lateral adjustment.
  4. Avoid overtightening to prevent bending the rod.
  5. Press the down button to advance the film to the edge of the preheating platen.

Preheating Setup

  2. Turn on Miro 24 power.
  3. Turn on the preheating function.
  4. Set the preheating temperature to 50 C initially.
  5. Increase temperature gradually up to 80 C only if powder residue does not release easily.
  6. Understand preheating removes static and moisture from the film.

Printing and Film Feeding

  1. Open the RIP software and send the print job to the printer.
  2. Pause printing when the print reaches the edge of the preheating platen.
  3. Open the heating chamber cover.
  4. Feed the film into the heating chamber.
  5. Use provided clamps to hold the film down with weight.
  6. Gently pull the film toward the back.
  7. Resume printing.
  8. If the heating chamber has been powered previously, wear gloves.

Powder Station Engagement

  1. Pause printing when the printed image reaches the bottom of the powder station.
  2. Attach the media wheel to the grooved section of the powder station.
  3. Pour a small amount of powder into the media wheel.
  4. Pull the clamp to the edge of the oven.
  5. Close and lock the heating chamber cover.
  6. Resume printing.
  7. Turn on main heating and shaking power.
  8. Set curing temperature to 135 C by default.
  9. Adjust temperature later based on film and environment.
  10. Adjust shaking intensity using the control knob.

Auto Mode and Takeup Reel Setup

  1. Monitor film alignment at the bottom of the powder station.
  2. Pull film manually from the back to maintain alignment.
  3. Continue pulling until the film reaches the takeup reel motor.
  4. Remove clamps carefully once sufficient slack is created.
  5. Feed the film under the tension rod.
  6. Tape the film to the takeup reel.
  7. Turn on the takeup reel motor.
  8. Add more powder up to the height of the media wheel rod.
  9. Avoid overfilling to prevent film tension issues.

Final Film Advancement

  3. Locate the current or past job print speed.
  4. Click the advance film button.
  5. Set advancing increment to 300 mm minimum, recommended 300 to 500 mm.
  6. Match film feed speed to linear meters per hour.
  7. Press forward to advance the film.
  8. Increase increment if desired based on workflow preference.

Film Cutting and Final Cure

  1. When pinch rollers stop, use a blade to cut the film from the printer.
  2. Slowly feed film into the powder station.
  3. Maintain steady feed speed to prevent undercuring.
  4. Turn off takeup reel power when film reaches powder shaking area.
  5. Release remaining film gradually.
  6. Drop final section into powder station.
  7. Wait 1 to 2 minutes to fully cure final section.
  8. Reduce shaking intensity.
  9. Turn off shaking power.
  10. Disable preheating.

Removing Final Film

  1. Hold the film with one hand.
  2. Manually rotate the takeup reel or use low-speed motor option.
  3. Wear gloves due to high film temperature.
  4. Roll film slowly to prevent image transfer or sticking.
  5. Remove film core.
  6. Cut transfers as needed.

End-of-Day Maintenance - Miro 24

  1. Open the main oven chamber.
  2. Turn off all power except main power to allow purifier operation.
  3. Let purifier run for at least 5 minutes.
  4. Allow heat chamber temperature to decrease.
  5. Detach Miro 24 from the printer.
  6. Lower the preheating platen.
  7. Turn off main power.
  8. Wipe inside the heating chamber using a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol.
  9. Remove all glycerin buildup.
  10. Pay extra attention to the right side near wiring.
  11. Wipe the top surface of the oven.
  12. Close the oven cover.
  13. Clean the outer filter cover.
  14. Open filter cover and clean around the fan.
  15. Replace purifier filter, air vent filter, and fabric top cover monthly.

Powder Station Cleaning

What you need

  • Store powder away from air, moisture, and dust
  • Store in a cool, dry room around 70 F
  • Maintain humidity below 35%
  • Keep used powder separate
  • Gradually mix used powder with new powder
  • Do not return used powder to original bag
  1. Wipe the preheating platen with isopropyl alcohol.
  2. Brush excess powder toward the bottom tray.
  3. Clean around the sensor without scratching.
  4. Remove the media wheel.
  5. Clean powder residue from the wheel and rod.
  6. Gently wipe the sensor face with lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol.
  7. Remove bottom powder tray.
  8. Pour powder into a lidded container.

Maintenance Completion

  1. Reinstall the media wheel rod.
  2. Close the powder station cover.
  3. Cover the entire shaker with an equipment cover.
  4. Prevent dust and debris contamination.

Heat Pressing the Transfer

What you need

  • Universal film: 150 C, 10 seconds, warm peel, optional second press 10 seconds
  • Quick Glide film: 140 C, 10 seconds, hot peel, optional second press 10 seconds
  • Peel Quick Glide immediately
  • Allow Universal film to cool at least 5 seconds before peeling
  • Alternative covers: cotton, polyester, canvas, parchment paper
  • Second press improves hand feel and reduces glycerin
  1. Turn on the heat press.
  2. Set appropriate temperature, time, and pressure.
  3. Thread and center the garment on the lower platen.
  4. Pre-press garment for 5 to 10 seconds.
  5. Place film onto garment.
  6. Cover with a Teflon sheet.
