Issue Overview and Troubleshooting Logic

  1. Identify repeated clicking sounds or an LED light blinking in sync with the clicking.
  2. Understand this indicates the power supply is repeatedly resetting due to a malfunction or overloaded component.
  3. Follow the process of unplugging one component at a time.
  4. After unplugging each component, power the shaker on and check if the clicking or blinking stops.
  5. If unplugging a component stops the clicking, that component is the cause.
  6. If the clicking continues, reconnect the component and move to the next one.

Accessing Internal Components

  1. Unlock the two latches on the oven lid.
  2. Open the oven lid.
  3. Lift and remove the metal panel at the bottom.
  4. Do not pull on any cables attached to the panel.
  5. Expose the internal electrical components.
  6. Identify the power supply and its connections to: Bottom two fans
  • LED light
  • Control board
  • Relay
  • Top four fans

Testing the Power Supply 12V Line

  1. Turn the shaker off.
  2. Locate the cable labeled positive 12V.
  3. Loosen the screw and remove the cable.
  4. Turn the shaker back on.
  5. If clicking stops, the power supply is faulty and must be replaced.
  6. If clicking continues, turn the shaker off.
  7. Reconnect the 12V cable and tighten the screw clockwise.

Testing the Control Board

  1. Turn the shaker off.
  2. Locate the control board cable with a locking latch.
  3. Lift the latch upward.
  4. Remove the cable.
  5. Drop the latch back down.
  6. Turn the shaker back on.
  7. If clicking stops, the control board or a connected component is the issue.
  8. Turn the shaker off.
  9. Reconnect the control board cable by lifting the latch, inserting the cable, and dropping the latch.

Testing Control Board Subcomponents

  1. With the shaker powered off, unplug the three cables connected directly to the control board.
  2. Turn the shaker back on.
  3. If clicking stops, one of the connected functions is causing the issue.
  4. This condition is rare.
  5. Contact a technician and report the findings.
  6. If clicking continues, the control board and its connected functions are working properly.
  7. Turn the shaker off and reconnect all three cables.

Testing the Relay

  1. Locate the relay cable.
  2. Lift the latch to unlock it.
  3. Remove the cable.
  4. Drop the latch back down.
  5. Turn the shaker back on.
  6. If clicking or blinking stops, the relay must be replaced.
  7. If clicking continues, turn the shaker off.
  8. Reconnect the relay cable.

Testing Bottom Fans

  1. Locate the secondary module controlling fans and LED.
  2. Turn the shaker off.
  3. Loosen the screw for the red cable connected to the bottom fans.
  4. Remove the red cable only.
  5. Tighten the screw with the black cable still connected.
  6. Turn the shaker back on.
  7. If clicking stops, the bottom fans must be replaced.
  8. If clicking continues, turn the shaker off and reconnect the cable.

Testing the LED Light

  1. Turn the shaker off.
  2. Remove the red LED cable only.
  3. Tighten the screw with the black cable still connected.
  4. Turn the shaker back on.
  5. If clicking stops, the LED light is faulty.
  6. The LED light is optional and may remain unplugged if replacement is not desired.
  7. If clicking continues, turn the shaker off and reconnect the LED cable.

Accessing Top Fan Controls

  1. Reinstall the metal panel.
  2. Close the oven lid.
  3. Open the top cover.
  4. Locate the fan control box.
  5. Remove the four screws securing the fan control box cover.

Testing the Top Four Fans

  1. Identify the two positive 12V cables inside the fan control box.
  2. Note each cable powers one pair of top fans.
  3. Unplug one positive 12V cable.
  4. Tighten the screw with the other cable still connected.
  5. Turn the shaker on.
  6. Check the LED light for blinking.
  7. If blinking stops, the fan pair connected to the unplugged cable is faulty.
  8. Turn the shaker off.
  9. Reconnect the cable if blinking continues.
  10. Repeat the test with the second positive 12V cable.

Identifying Fan Pair Faults

  1. Determine which cable controls which fan pair by observing which fans run when powered.
  2. If unplugging either cable stops the blinking, replace the affected fan pair.

Power Supply Confirmation

  1. If both top fan cable tests still result in clicking or blinking,
  2. Confirm the power supply cannot deliver sufficient power.
  3. Replace the power supply.
