Issue Overview and Required Tools

Watch this part0:02

What you need

  • Multimeter
  • Screwdriver
  1. Identify that the main heating plate is not heating or the temperature reading is inaccurate.
  2. Understand the three possible causes: wire connections, main heating plate, or temperature display.
  3. Power off the machine.
  4. Allow the heating plate to cool to room temperature before proceeding.

Accessing Internal Wiring

Watch this part0:39
  1. Turn off the main power.
  2. Unplug the power socket.
  3. Open the top heating chamber.

  5. Turn the power back on.
  6. Check whether the main heating plate is now functioning properly.

Testing Main Heating Plate Voltage

Watch this part1:31

What you need

  • No voltage reading: thermocouple may be damaged and the main heating plate requires replacement
  • Normal voltage reading: proceed to temperature display troubleshooting
  1. If wiring is secure, set the multimeter to read voltage.
  2. Inspect the two thin wires connected to the main heating plate.
  3. Check for a voltage reading.

Testing the Temperature Display

Watch this part1:53
  1. Plug in the power socket.
  2. Turn on the power.
  3. Check if the temperature display turns on.
  4. Reinspect wiring connections.
