Before you start

What you need

  • Blank control panel may indicate a power supply issue
  1. Turn on the printer and observe the power light
  2. If the power light is on but the control panel is blank, continue troubleshooting
  3. Unscrew and remove the back panel
  4. Check the power supply indicator light
  5. If the indicator light is off, turn off the main power
  6. Inspect all power supply wire connections
  7. Tighten any loose screws or connectors
  8. Turn the power back on and test the control panel again SECTION (00:00:58) Check Power Supply Voltage
  9. Set the multimeter to DC voltage (60V range)
  10. Turn on the printer
  11. Place the black probe on the blue negative wire

  13. Turn off the main power
  14. Remove the back panel
  15. Open the printer lid
  16. Take a photo of all wire connections for reference SECTION (00:02:36) Remove the Power Supply
  17. Loosen and remove the interface screws
  18. Carefully disconnect all wires
  19. Remove the faulty power supply from the printer SECTION (00:03:04) Install the New Power Supply
  20. Position the new power supply in place
  21. Loosely secure it with screws

  23. Tighten all terminal screws securely
  24. Turn on the printer
  25. Confirm the power supply indicator light is green

  27. Turn off the main power
  28. Close the printer lid
  29. Reinstall the interface cover
  30. Reattach the back panel SECTION (00:08:38)
  • Common causes are loose wire connections or incorrect voltage output

  • Screwdriver
  • Multimeter
  • First positive terminal: 42V (41.9V is acceptable)
  • Second terminal: 24V
  • Third terminal: 24V
  • Additional 24V and 42V terminals should match labeled values
  • If all voltage readings are correct, the power supply is functioning
  • If any voltage reading is incorrect, the power supply is faulty and must be replaced
  • Input wires:
  • Positive input wire
  • Negative input wire
  • Ground wire
  • Output terminals:
  • Two terminals labeled 42V
  • Two terminals labeled 24V
  • Negative outputs: 24V, 24V, 42V
  • Positive outputs: 24V, 24V, 42V
  • Do not mix 42V and 24V connections
  • Printer should now power on normally with a functioning control panel
  • If issues persist, contact a DTF Station technician
