Preparation and Panel Removal

  1. Ensure the shaker is powered off.
  2. Remove the tray from the shaker.
  3. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the seven screws securing the shaker side panel.
  4. Carefully remove the side panel to expose the internal components.

Checking the Main Power Supply

What you need

  • If the power supply is not working, the relay and sensor switch will also not have power or indicator lights.
  1. Locate the main power supply inside the shaker.
  2. Look for the blue indicator light.
  3. If the blue light is on, the power supply is functioning properly.
  4. If the blue light is off, the power supply may need to be replaced.

Identifying and Triggering the Media Sensor

  1. Locate the opening on the side inside the shaker cabinet.
  2. Identify the media sensor in this opening.
  3. Use the media rod to manually cover the sensor to trigger it.
  4. Use this method to trigger the sensor during troubleshooting as needed.

Testing the Media Sensor

What you need

  • Green light on: sensor is receiving power
  • Orange light on when triggered: sensor is functioning
  • No lights: media sensor may be faulty
  1. Observe the media sensor lights from the opposite side.
  2. Confirm the green light is on to indicate the sensor has power.
  3. Trigger the sensor and verify the orange light turns on.

Testing the Relay

What you need

  • If the sensor orange light turns on but the relay does not click or light up, the relay is likely faulty
  1. Locate the relay, identified as a small clear cube.
  2. Trigger the media sensor.
  3. Listen for a clicking sound from the relay.
  4. Check for a green indicator light on the relay.

Cleaning the Media Sensor

  1. Inspect the media sensor for powder buildup.
  2. If the orange light is stuck on without film present, gently wipe the sensor using a soft dry cloth.
  3. Retest the sensor after cleaning.

Testing the Take-Up Reel Motor

What you need

  • If the motor does not run using the toggle switch, the motor may be the point of failure
  1. Verify the motor power plug is securely connected.
  2. Locate the black toggle switch on the motor.
  3. Use the switch to manually run the motor in both directions.
  4. Observe whether the motor turns on.
