This guide walks through the basic Neostampa setup for media profiles and the Control Center, using the Prestige R2 Pro as an example. Media Setup
Click **New Job**. Select your **printer** and **scheme**. Click **OK**. Under **Predefined Sizes**, confirm the media width. Right-click the media width if you want to change units (mm or cm). Example: For 13-inch film, set **Media Width = 13 in**. Leave **Media Length** unchecked. Leave **Margins** unchecked (optional if needed). Click **New**. Enter a **Media Name**. Set **Media Color**: Change RGB to **105, 105, 105** (charcoal gray). Save the media profile. This prevents white-background artwork from blending in. Click **New** again. Name the profile based on the media size (e.g., 11 in). Confirm multiple media profiles are listed. Control Center Setup Double-click the **Control Center** icon. Note: Some icons may differ depending on software version. Go to **Preferences**. Set **Currency** (e.g., USD). Set **Measurement Units** (e.g., millimeters and inches). Leave **Decimal Precision** at 2. Under **Services**, click **Check Status** on both services. Confirm both are running. Go to **Data Sources**. If missing, enter port **12700:1** and click **Add**. This enables print job history logging. Confirm the data source shows as **Active** and printers are listed. Consumables Setup Click **Consumables**. Select **Prestige R2 Pro**. Select the correct **film**. Set **Width = 13 in**. Uncheck **Roll**. Set **Length** to: 109 yards or Enter **Cost** (example: $88). Click **Save**. Cost per inch and square inch auto-calculates. Printing & Job Data
Ink data will remain blank until a print job is sent. Click **Add File** or drag-and-drop artwork. Duplicate files as needed using copy/paste. Confirm connection is set to **TCP**. Click **Nesting**. Set **Margins = 0.25 in**. Select all images (Ctrl + A or drag-select). Center images using the center icon. Click **Print**. Monitor the progress bar. Ink Cost & Job History Open **Control Center** → **Consumables**. Go to the **Inks** tab. Select all inks. Click **Add Price**. Enter cost (example: $80). Click **Apply to All**, then **Save**. Open **Print History**. Select a job record to view details. If costs show zero: Confirm the correct media was connected. Go back to **Consumables** → **Materials**. Select the correct media. Set width and length again. Update cost. Reprint the job. Open **Control Center** to confirm total job cost displays correctly. Final Notes Basic Neostampa setup is now complete.
You can customize print history columns. Columns can be reordered. Export job history as **Excel** or **text** files.
