How to Resolve "Unable to Activate Product Code" Issue on Digirip and Digital Factory

This video explains how to redownload and update DigiRIP to resolve the “Unable to Activate Product” error. This issue commonly occurs when Windows updates automatically and removes license information. Fiery released DigiRIP version 11.3 to prevent this issue.

• This solution applies to DigiRIP / Digital Factory version 11.
• If you are currently on version 10, you must upgrade to version 11 before proceeding.

1. Download the latest DigiRIP installer from: The Quick Start Guide, or
2. Reinstall DigiRIP using the downloaded installer.

• The DTF Station website.

1. Make sure DigiRIP is completely closed.
2. Click the folder icon in the Windows taskbar.
3. If the C drive is not visible: Click “This PC.”

• Double-click the “C:” drive.

1. Inside the C drive, locate and open the “DigiRIP” folder.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the folder.
3. Locate the updater file with the up-arrow icon.
4. Double-click the updater file.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update to version 11.3.

1. After the update finishes, launch DigiRIP.
2. Confirm that the software opens without the activation error.

1. Contact a DTF Station technician.
2. Have your DigiRIP activation code ready for support.

• If the update is not run correctly, or if DigiRIP is not updated to version 11.3:
• Your license key may be deleted every time Windows updates.
• Always verify you are running the most up-to-date DigiRIP version to prevent recurring activation issues.

Your DigiRIP software should now be updated and protected from license loss during Windows updates.
