This guide explains how to use the Color Replacement tool in NeoStampa to correct color inaccuracies, and how to generate a color chart to identify accurate RGB values. Using Color Replacement

1. Open Color Replacement

  1. Load your image into NeoStampa.
  2. Click the **Color Replacement** icon on the left-hand side.

2. Select the Target Color

  1. Click on the color you want to correct (example: **Orange**).
  2. The **Color Replacement** dialog box will open.
  3. Review the **existing RGB values** shown.

3. Adjust Color Values

  1. Modify the RGB values as needed.
  2. Click **OK** to apply.
  • Example: Change **R** value to **255**.

4. How Color Replacement Works

  • When the original RGB value (example: **244, 116, 35**) enters NeoStampa:
  • It will be replaced with the new RGB output (example: **255, 116, 35**).
  • This replacement applies **only** to the specified RGB value.

Using a Color Chart for Accuracy

  • Color replacement rules can be deleted.
  • This is recommended if:
  • You are printing gradient images.
  • The rule causes unintended color changes.

6. Open Color Variations

  1. Open the **Color Replacement** tool again.
  2. Select the same color.
  3. Click **Variations**.

7. Generate a Color Chart

  1. In the Variations window, choose to **Print a Color Chart**.
  2. Adjust **Deviation** to control color variation range.
  3. Change **Steps**: Higher steps (example: 8) create a larger chart.
  4. Adjust patch size as needed.
  5. Click **OK**. Preparing the Chart for Printing

8. Prepare Chart Layout

  1. Change the cursor to **Selection** mode.
  2. Rotate the chart if needed.
  3. Delete any previous images.
  4. Click **Nest**.
  5. Click **OK**.

9. Print and Evaluate

  3. Identify the preferred RGB value.
  4. Update your graphic colors or color replacement values accordingly. Color replacement setup and evaluation are now complete.
