How to Remove and Reinstall a Device in DigiRIP Pro

  1. This guide explains how to remove a printer device/driver from DigiRIP Pro.
  2. Devices cannot be removed if queues or jobs are still active.

Important Before You Begin

  1. If any queues are running, reserved, or have pending jobs, the device cannot be removed.
  2. All related queues must be cleared or deleted first.

Removing the Queue

  1. Go to **Queues**.
  2. Click **Manage Queues**.
  3. Locate the queue associated with the printer you want to remove.
  4. If there are jobs: Running You must delete them before proceeding.
  5. Once the queue is clear, confirm and close the queue manager.
  • Example shown: **Prestige R2**.
  • Pending
  • Reserved

Removing the Device

  1. Go to **Devices**.
  2. Click **Manage Devices**.
  3. Select the printer you want to remove.
  4. Click **Remove Device**.
  5. Confirm the removal.
  • Example shown: **Prestige R2**.

Reinstalling or Installing Another Printer

  1. To reinstall the same printer or add a new one, click **Install Printer**.
  2. Select the printer model.
  3. Click **Next**.
  4. Select **Search for New Printer**.
  5. Click **Next**, then **Finish**.
  • Example shown: **Prestige XL2**.

TCP/IP Setup (If Required)

  1. For certain models (example: **Prestige L2**): Select **TCP/IP** as the port.
  2. Enter the IP address: Example shown: **127.0.0.1**.
  3. Click **OK**.
  4. Click **Next**, then **Finish** to complete installation.

Verifying Installation

  1. Return to **Devices**.
  2. Confirm the printer driver now appears in the device list.
