- Use this procedure to flush ink from Prestige R2 Pro and L2 printers.
- Apply the same process to all Prestige printers and similar DTF printers.
- Follow this method to properly remove old ink before adding new ink.
Step 1 – Lower Ink Levels
- Run the printer until ink levels are as low as possible.

- Wear gloves as needed
- Dispose of ink according to local regulations
- Get a syringe and the tube attachment from the printer supply box.
- Attach extra tubing to extend the syringe if needed.
- Insert the tubing to the bottom of the ink bottle.
- Slowly pull ink into the syringe.
- Empty the syringe into a waste bottle.
- Rinse the syringe.
- Repeat the process for all CMYK colors.
What you need
- Do not pull the syringe too hard
- Excessive force can cause the syringe to pop out and spill ink
Step 3 – Prepare for Suction

- Clean around the print head.
- Clean the capping station.
- Clean the wiper blade.
- Ensure all components are free of excess ink.

- Some printers require clamping ink lines at the bottles to assist ink flow
Step 6 – Add Color Prime Chroma Ink
- Shake the Color Prime Chroma ink bottles.
- Remove the cap tamper ring.
- Pour ink into each bottle.
- Fill each bottle as much as possible.
