How to perform White Ink Adjustments on DigiRIP

1. This video covers the following white ink adjustment methods: Adjusting white ink strength
2. Note: Highlight White is only available in **DigiRIP** and **Digital Factory version 11 or higher**.

• Adjusting white under black
• Adjusting white choke
• Adjusting and adding highlight white

1. Click on the image you want to adjust.
2. Double-click the image to open its settings.
3. Go to **Color Layer**.
4. Select **Processing Options**.
5. Any changes made here apply **only to this image**.

1. Locate **White Under Black**.
2. Default value is typically **50%**.
3. This setting controls how much white ink is placed beneath black areas: Lower values = less white under black
4. Use the drop-down menu to adjust between **0% and 100%**.

• Higher values = more white under black

1. Locate the **Choke** setting.
2. Choke controls how much white ink spreads beyond the image edge.
3. Behavior: Lower values = wider white ink (may cause white peeking)
4. Small details such as neck label text may require careful fine-tuning.

• Higher values = tighter white ink (may remove white from small text)

1. Locate **Maximum Ink Percentage**.
2. Default value is typically **60%**.
3. Adjust in **10% increments only**.
4. Example: Change from 60% to 70%.
5. Click **OK** to save.
6. This adjustment applies **only to the selected image**.

1. Double-click **Q Properties** at the top.
2. Go to **Color Layer**.
3. Select **Processing Options**.
4. Adjust **Maximum Ink Percentage** as needed.
5. Click **OK** to save.
6. Any new image imported will automatically use this setting.

1. Double-click an existing image.
2. Go to **Color Layer > Processing Options**.
3. Confirm the white ink percentage reflects the updated value.

2. Use this method if: You are experiencing color bleeding

• **Digital Factory version 11 or higher**
• White ink output is too strong overall

1. Double-click **Q Properties**.
2. Go to **Color Layer**.
3. Select **Processing Options**.
4. Choose **Under Base and Highlight**.
5. A new slider window will appear.
6. Adjust **Highlight White Strength**: Default: **100%**

• Start at **50%**
• Adjust up or down in **10% increments**

• Increasing the value strengthens white output.
• Excessive values may cause bleeding.
• Fine-tuning is required based on print results.
• Highlight White can also be adjusted per image.
