What you need

  • Connection error shown in RIP software
  • No job appears in control software print queue
  • Printing does not start
  1. Attempt to print from DigiRIP or Neosta.
  2. Observe an error such as “Can’t Connect” in DigiRIP or “Error Opening Device” in Neosta.
  3. Check the control software print queue.
  4. Confirm that no job appears in the print queue after sending a job.

Cause of the Issue

What you need

  • Background service connecting RIP software to control software is not running
  • Required service name is NW Receive

Step 1 – Confirm NW Receive Service Is Not Running

What you need

  • No results found confirms NW Receive service is not running
  1. Click the Windows search bar.
  2. Type Task Manager.
  3. Open Task Manager.
  4. Click the search bar within Task Manager.
  5. Type NW Receive.
  6. Check the results.

Step 2 – Manually Start the NW Receive Service

  1. Open File Explorer.
  2. Navigate to the C drive.
  3. Open the DTF Station Pilot folder.
  4. If using a different control software, open its corresponding folder, such as Hosonsoft.
  5. Scroll down and locate the application named NWR receive.exe.
  6. Double-click the application to run it.
  7. If prompted for permission, click Yes.

Verify Service Is Running

What you need

  • NW Receive service is visible and running
  1. Return to Task Manager.
  2. Search for NW Receive again.
  3. Confirm the service now appears as a background process.

Step 3 – Verify Printing from RIP Software

  1. Open DigiRIP.
  2. Clear any old jobs.
  3. Click Print.
  4. Check the control software print queue.
  5. Confirm the job appears and begins printing.
  6. Open Neosta.
  7. Click Print.
  8. Confirm the job appears immediately in the print queue.
