  1. This guide explains how to crop or split an image in DigiRIP by using a custom queue and media size.
  2. This method is useful when an image exceeds the printable width and needs to be divided.

Creating a Copy of the Queue

  1. Click **Queue (Q)**.
  2. Select **Manage Queues**.
  3. Click **Copy Queue**.
  4. Name the new queue: Example: **Crop**
  5. Click **OK**.
  6. Close the window.

Adjusting Media Size for Cropping

  1. Double-click the newly created queue to open **Q Properties**.
  2. Select **Media Setup**.
  3. Click **Add New Media**.
  4. Set the media width to **11 inches**.
  5. Click **OK** to save.

Importing and Preparing the Image

  1. Import your image into the queue.
  2. Rotate the image if needed (example: **90°**) to better visualize cropping.
  3. Resize the image larger if necessary so it exceeds the media width.
  4. A **red border** indicates the image exceeds the printable area.

Cropping the Image

  1. Go to the **Job** tab.
  2. Click **Crop**.
  3. A divider line will appear at the **11-inch** mark, showing where the crop will occur.
  4. Click **Create**.
  5. The image will now be cropped at the defined width.

Restoring the Original Media Width

  1. Go to the **Page** tab.
  2. Change the media width back to the original size.
  3. Confirm the layout updates correctly.
  • Example: **13 inches**.
