  1. Click **Queue (Q)**.
  2. Select **Properties**.
  3. Confirm your **Default Print Mode** is selected.

Adjusting White Choke

Watch this part0:45
  1. Locate the **Choke** setting.
  2. Current example value: **2**.
  3. Choke behavior: Higher values pull white ink inward under the color layer.
  4. Recommendation: If white ink is visible around image edges, **increase the choke value** to hide white beneath the color.

Adjusting Varnish (Clear Ink) Settings

  1. Click the **Clear and Other Spot Options** tab.
  2. Under **Clear Options**, ensure **Apply** is checked.

Maximum Clear Ink Percentage

  1. Locate **Maximum Ink Percentage**.
  2. Example default: **45%**.
  3. Increase for more aggressive varnish coverage: Example values: **55%–65%**.
  4. Higher values result in thicker varnish deposition.

Spread the Clear Ink

Watch this part1:27
  1. Locate **Spread the Clear Ink**.
  2. Example value: **5**.
  3. Behavior: Higher values spread varnish farther beyond the image.
  4. Recommendations: Test different values to find the optimal balance.
  • Increased spread improves durability.
  • For **clear substrates**, use a **lower value** to prevent excess varnish visibility.

Applying Settings to the Print Mode

  1. Go to **Devices**.
  2. Click **Manage Print Modes**.
  3. Select the active print mode.
  4. Go to the **Color Layer** tab.
  5. Select **Processing Options**.
