Digirip Cost Calculation

1. Open DigiRIP.
2. Load a print job (example used: 12 × 12 inch print).
3. Send the job to print.
4. Note that the cost shown is incorrect by default because material and ink costs are not yet configured.
5. To calculate accurate costs, you must first set up your pricing using the DTF Customer Cost Calculator.

1. Open the DTF Customer Cost Calculator using the link provided in the video description.
2. Choose how you want to use the file: Google Sheets: a. Log into your Google account. b. Click File → Make a copy. c. Save it anywhere in your Google Drive. a. Click File → Download. b. Select Microsoft Excel.

• Microsoft Excel:

1. Go to Row 2 in the calculator.
2. Enter your film width.
3. Go to Row 4.
4. Enter the cost of one roll of film.
5. Row 5 will automatically calculate: Cost of film per square foot.

• Example: Prestige R2 → 13 inches.
• Example: $88.99.

1. Go to Row 8.
2. Enter the number of powder bags used per roll.
3. Go to Row 10.
4. Enter the cost per bag of powder.
5. The calculator will output: Cost of powder per square foot.

• Example: 2 bags per 13-inch roll.

1. Go to Row 15, Column B.
2. Enter the cost per liter of color ink.
3. Go to Row 15, Column C.
4. Enter the cost per liter of white ink.

1. Return to DigiRIP.
2. Click Q → Properties.
3. Go to the Other tab.
4. Select Costing.
5. Enter the following values: Material Cost: a. Enter film cost per square foot. b. Set unit to Per Square Foot. a. Enter powder cost per square foot. b. Set unit to Per Square Foot. a. Enter cost per liter. a. Use the same value as color ink. a. Enter cost per liter.
6. Click Update.
7. Click Yes to confirm.
8. Click OK to save.

1. Send the print job again.
2. After completion, review the job cost shown in DigiRIP.
3. Example: 12 × 12 inch print = cost of 58 (based on your configured values).

1. Open the same cost calculator.
2. Switch to the UVDTF tab.
3. Enter the following: Row 2: Film width.

• Row 4: Cost of A + B film roll set.
• Row 8: Ink costs.

1. In DigiRIP, select your UV printer.
2. Go to Q → Properties.
3. Navigate to Other → Costing.
4. Enter: Material Cost: a. Film cost per square foot. b. Set unit to Per Square Foot. a. Set unit to Per Liter.
5. Click OK to save.

• Example: Aries 113.
• Ink Volume Cost:
• Enter ink costs for:
• CMYK inks
• White ink
• Clear ink (varnish).

1. Send a UV DTF job to print.
2. Review the job cost displayed in DigiRIP.
3. Confirm that the cost now accurately reflects your materials and ink usage.
4. Repeat this process whenever material or ink prices change.
5. Your DigiRIP job costs will now remain accurate for both DTF and UV workflows.
