Digirip - Basic Overview of Cutter Options Tab for Arc 127

This video covers the recommended cutter options for the Arc 127, including virtual tiling and weed border offset settings.

1. Go to the “Cutter Options” tab.
2. Make sure the “Virtual Tiling” option is checked.
3. Set the virtual tiling length to match the segment length.

• Example: If the segment length is set to 300, the virtual tiling length must also be set to 300.

1. Navigate to the “Sorting” tab.
2. Confirm the settings match the recommended default configuration shown in the video.

1. Go to the “Weed Border” tab.
2. Make sure the weed border feature is turned on.
3. The default offset value is set to 1.5 mm.

1. Import an image to preview the cut path.
2. The solid line represents the actual printed image.
3. The dotted black line represents the cut line.
4. The space between the solid line and dotted line is the weed border offset.

1. Increase the offset value (example: 15 mm) to move the cut line further away from the printed image.
2. Import another image to visually confirm the change.
3. Larger offsets create more space between the print and the cut line.

1. Set the weed border offset to 0.
2. Observe how the cut line moves very close to the printed image.
3. This may cause unwanted cutting into the artwork.

1. Increase the offset value to around 2 mm.
2. This provides a safer gap between the printed image and the cut line.
3. Adjust the offset as needed depending on the artwork.

1. Go to the “Contour Cut” tab.
2. Use the default settings as recommended.

The Arc 127 cutter is now configured with the recommended settings for virtual tiling and weed border offset.
