What you need
- Isopropyl alcohol
- Lint-free cloth
- Blade
- Protective gloves
- Syringe
- Small cup
- UVDTF cleaning solution
Film Removal and Preparation
- Open the printer cover.
- Use a blade to carefully detach the B film from the printer.
- Move to the back of the printer.
- Turn off the protective film retractor takeup motor.
- Rotate the roller to create extra protective film slack.
- Cut the excess protective film.
- Push the protective film forward onto the print bed so it adheres to the A film.
- Return to the front of the printer.
- Cover the A film with the protective film to prevent sticking.
- Cut the A film.
- Push the A film out of the printer.
- Spray isopropyl alcohol onto a lint-free cloth.
- Gently wipe the encoder strip.
- Slide the print head carriage to the left to access the right side of the encoder strip.
- Clean the remaining section of the encoder strip.
- Return the carriage to the home position.
- Use a fresh lint-free cloth with isopropyl alcohol.
- Wipe the entire print bed thoroughly.
- Use a dry lint-free cloth to clean the heating roller.
- Do not use isopropyl alcohol on the heating roller to avoid damaging the rubber surface.
- Close the printer cover.
- Locate the film sensor at the bottom of the printer.
- Wipe the film sensor using a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
Waste Ink Bottle Maintenance
- Pull out the waste ink tube while wrapping it with a cloth to catch drips.
- Remove the waste ink bottle.
- Empty the waste ink bottle.
- Reinstall the waste ink bottle securely.
- Use a screwdriver to loosen the purifier hose connection.
- Clean the purifier hose connection.
- Turn on the purifier.
- Allow the purifier to run for 5 minutes to clear dust.
- Turn off the purifier.
- Reconnect the purifier hose.
- Clean the opposite end of the hose.
- Secure the hose connection.
- Open the printer cover.
- Move the print head carriage to the left.
- Locate the capping station.
- Use a syringe to apply a few drops of UVDTF cleaning solution to the capping station.
- Slide the print head carriage back to its home position.
- Close the printer cover.
- Power off the printer.
- Do not leave the printer powered on while idle.
- Open the left side panel.
- Rotate the white ink circulation knob clockwise.
- Open the main printer cover.
- Move the print head carriage to the left.
- Apply UVDTF cleaning solution to the capping station.
- Return the print head carriage to its home position.
- Close all panels and covers.
- Press the emergency stop button to maintain white ink circulation and stirring.
- Cover the printer to protect it from dust and debris.
