DTF Station: Feel Free Getaway — Official Rules

Last updated October 23, 2026

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Being a customer of DTF Station, Color Prime or any dealer is not required and is not considered by the judges. Void where prohibited.

1. What this contest is

DTF Station: Feel Free Getaway (the "Contest") is a skill-based contest. Applications are read and scored by a panel of judges against the published criteria in Section 7, and the winner is selected on the merits of their application. No element of the selection is left to chance. There is no drawing and no random element at any stage, including the resolution of tied scores, which is handled by the rule in Section 7.

2. Sponsor

The Contest is sponsored by DTF Station, 11450 Knott St, Garden Grove, CA 92841 ("Sponsor"), and powered by Color Prime, Sponsor's own brand of DTF supplies. The Contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Disney Enterprises, Inc., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Meta, YouTube, Google or Discord. Disneyland® is a registered trademark of Disney Enterprises, Inc. Disney is not a sponsor of and is not affiliated with this Contest.

3. Who may enter

To enter you must, at the time of entry:

  • be at least 18 years old;
  • be a legal resident of one of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia. Residents of Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories and possessions are not eligible;
  • own or operate a business or side business that does DTF printing, using equipment and supplies of any brand.

One entry per business. Where more than one entry is received for the same business, only the first complete entry is judged.

Not eligible: (a) employees and contractors of Sponsor; (b) employees of Sponsor's authorized dealers and distributors, who receive an incentive in connection with this Contest; and (c) the immediate family members and household members of anyone in (a) or (b). "Immediate family" means spouse or domestic partner, parents, children, siblings, and each of their spouses or partners, whether by birth, marriage or adoption. "Household" means people who live at the same address, related or not.

4. Entry period

Entries are accepted from 8:00:00 AM Pacific Time on Monday, October 26, 2026 until 11:59:59 PM Pacific Time on Friday, December 11, 2026 (the "Entry Period"). Sponsor's server clock is the official timekeeper. Entries received after the Entry Period are not judged.

5. How to enter

The only method of entry is the online application form at dtfstation.com/feel-free-getaway/, completed and submitted during the Entry Period. Entries by mail, email, phone, social media or any other means are not accepted. There is no fee to enter. If a disability prevents you from using the online form, email feelfreegetaway@dtfstation.com before the Entry Period ends and Sponsor will help you submit your application through the form.

6. What makes an entry complete

An entry is complete only if every required field of the form is filled in, both essays meet their stated word limits (Essay 1: 300–500 words; Essay 2: 150–300 words), and every required confirmation is ticked. Incomplete entries are not judged.

Photos and video are optional, but highly recommended. Up to three photos and one video may be uploaded, and a video may be linked instead of uploaded. Judges may score an application higher under the "Impact of DTF printing" and "Content and ambassador potential" criteria in Section 7 when photos or video clearly support the applicant's story — for example, a short introduction and a look at the print shop, or a "then" photo of a small home setup next to a "now" photo of the current operation. An application without photos or video is judged on everything else and can still score fully on every criterion through the written application.

7. Judging

Judges and process. Complete entries are judged in two rounds against the criteria below. First, an automated tool (an AI system directed by Sponsor) scores every complete entry on these same criteria to build a shortlist of about ten to twelve entries; Sponsor's staff review the tool's results, including the entries it scores lowest, before the shortlist is set. Second, a panel of five (5) judges from Sponsor's leadership and marketing team scores each shortlisted entry and selects the winner on the merits; a shortlisted entry's score is the average of its judges' totals. No element of the selection is left to chance. Sponsor may replace an unavailable judge with another Sponsor employee. A judge who personally knows an applicant, or has an outside business relationship with them, does not score that entry; its score is the average of the remaining judges.

Rolling review. Entries are scored on a rolling basis during the Entry Period. Every complete entry is scored on the same criteria, whenever it arrives, and may be added to the shortlist at any time before judging closes.

Criteria. Each entry is scored out of 100 points:

  • Business story (Essay 1) — 25 points. What the business makes, who it serves, and the challenge or turning point that shaped it; clarity and specificity.
  • Why this trip, why now (Essay 2) — 15 points. What the Getaway would mean to the applicant and their business.
  • Impact of DTF printing — 15 points. How clearly the application shows the change DTF printing has made to the business, in the essays and/or optional photos and video.
  • Content and ambassador potential — 12 points. How well the applicant tells their story and their interest in creating content with Sponsor, scored from the written application; optional photos and video may support it but are never required.
  • Community and customers — 10 points. Who the business serves and the effect it has on them.
  • Clarity and authenticity — 10 points. An honest, specific, readable application.
  • Growth and readiness — 8 points. The direction and plans of the business; the size of the business is not scored.
  • Travel availability for January 21–23, 2027 — 5 points. Awarded when the applicant confirms on the form that they can travel on those dates.

Customer status, purchase history, the size of the business, and whether or which dealer referred the applicant are not criteria and are not considered.

Ties. If two or more entries tie, the higher combined score on the two essays (Essay 1 plus Essay 2) wins; if still tied, the judges re-vote on the tied entries; if still tied, the earliest completed entry wins.

Finalists. The "finalists" are the entrants with the ten (10) highest scores when judging is complete, ranked by the tie rule above. The judges' decisions are final on all matters relating to judging.

8. The prize

One (1) winner receives a three-day, two-night trip for two (the winner and one guest) to Southern California, consisting of:

  • round-trip coach air travel for two from a major commercial airport in the United States near the winner's home, selected by Sponsor (approximate retail value $1,500);
  • two (2) nights' accommodation in one standard room at a 4–5 star Southern California hotel selected by Sponsor, including room taxes and resort fees (approximate retail value $1,350);
  • one-day admission for two to Disneyland® Park (approximate retail value $600);
  • meals for two during the trip, up to $800 in total, arranged or reimbursed by Sponsor;
  • ground transportation between the airport, hotel and park, up to $250 in total, arranged or reimbursed by Sponsor.

Total approximate retail value: $4,500. Actual value may vary with departure city and travel dates; any difference between the approximate and actual value is not awarded. Any expense not listed above — including additional meals or transport beyond the stated amounts, upgrades, extra activities, gratuities, souvenirs, travel insurance and personal expenses — is the winner's responsibility.

Optional equipment demo. A winner who travels in February or March 2027 may add a private DTF equipment demonstration with Sponsor, subject to availability. Sponsor offers these demonstrations to customers and dealers at no charge; it has no retail value, is not included in the approximate retail value above, and is not a condition of the prize.

Impressions Expo Long Beach. A winner who travels January 21–23, 2027 may join Sponsor at Impressions Expo Long Beach during the trip, with a free pass provided by Sponsor, subject to availability. Attending is optional and is not a condition of the prize; a winner who cannot travel on those dates chooses other dates in the travel window.

Travel must be completed between January 1 and March 31, 2027, on dates coordinated with Sponsor, subject to availability and blackout dates. The prize cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash, except that Sponsor may substitute a prize element of equal or greater value if an element becomes unavailable.

Guest. The guest may be any age. A guest under 18 must be the winner's child or legal ward, or be accompanied on the trip by their own parent or legal guardian; in either case the minor's parent or legal guardian signs the release in Section 9 on the minor's behalf. The guest must travel on the same itinerary as the winner.

9. Winner notification and verification

The winner will be announced on or about December 18, 2026 and notified by email and telephone at the details given in the entry. The winner must, within seven (7) days of notification, return a signed declaration of eligibility, liability and publicity release, and show government-issued photo ID confirming they are 18 or older. The guest (or, for a minor guest, their parent or legal guardian) must sign a liability and publicity release before travel. Travel details Sponsor needs to book the trip, such as emergency contacts or accessibility needs, are collected from the winner at this stage and not on the application. If the winner cannot be reached, does not respond in time, is found ineligible, or cannot travel in the travel window, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to the next-highest-scoring eligible entry.

Applicants who are not selected will be notified by email after the Contest ends. Where required by law, the winner's name is available on request from feelfreegetaway@dtfstation.com.

10. Taxes

The winner is solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes on the prize. Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099 for prizes valued at $600 or more, and the winner must provide a completed IRS Form W-9 before the prize is awarded.

11. Filming, photography and publicity

By entering, each applicant agrees that, if selected as the winner, they (and their guest) may be filmed and photographed during the trip as part of Sponsor's content for this Contest, and that Sponsor may use the winner's and any finalist's name, business name, photos, video, story and trip footage in advertising and marketing in any media without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.

Ambassador opportunities. Sponsor may, at its discretion, offer the winner, finalists or other applicants a separate, paid content, affiliate or ambassador agreement after the Contest. Any such agreement is optional, is made separately in writing, is not part of the prize, and accepting or declining it has no effect on judging or on receiving the prize.

12. Information you give us

Information submitted in an entry, including photos and video, is used to run and judge the Contest, to contact applicants about it, and as described in Sponsor's Privacy Policy. Entries are never shared with dealers. If an applicant says a dealer referred them, or arrives through a dealer's link, Sponsor records that dealer's name only to credit the dealer's referral incentive; dealers are told only their total number of referred entries, never who the applicants are or what they submitted. Entries are scored in the first round by an AI tool acting for Sponsor, as described in Section 7 and the Privacy Policy; the tool's provider processes entries only to provide that service and does not use them to train its models.

How long we keep it. Applications that are not selected, including essays, photos and video, are kept for up to six (6) months after the Contest ends — until June 11, 2027 — and then deleted. The winner's and finalists' materials are kept as their releases allow. An applicant may ask for their application to be deleted sooner by emailing feelfreegetaway@dtfstation.com; an application deleted before judging is complete is withdrawn from the Contest.

Testimonials and content opportunities. Applicants who tick the optional box may be contacted during that six-month period about paid opportunities to share their story or create content, such as a testimonial or an affiliate or ambassador program. Any such opportunity is voluntary and paid, with compensation (such as store credit, a supply package or a fee) agreed in writing before any use. Ticking or not ticking the box has no effect on judging. (The separate, optional question about interest in creating content is part of the "Content and ambassador potential" criterion in Section 7.)

13. General conditions

Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are late, lost, incomplete, misdirected or not received because of technical failure. Sponsor may disqualify any entry it reasonably believes was submitted fraudulently, by automated means, or in breach of these rules. If the Contest cannot run as planned for reasons beyond Sponsor's control, Sponsor may modify or cancel it and judge the complete entries received before that point. By entering, each applicant releases Sponsor and its affiliates, officers and employees from liability for any injury, loss or damage arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance or use of the prize, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

14. Governing law and disputes

These rules and the Contest are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Contest will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and each entrant consents to the jurisdiction of those courts. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any recovery is limited to the entrant's actual out-of-pocket costs of entering, and excludes attorneys' fees.
