What you need
Fluid Mask works only with RGB images Convert CMYK images to RGB before using Fluid Mask Fluid Mask menu option is disabled for CMYK images In Digital Factory: Select the job in the queue. Click the Jobs menu. Select Edit with Fluid Mask. In SignLab or EngraveLab: Select the graphic on the work area. Click Image from the top menu. Select Fluid Mask.

Select the Delete Local brush. Set brush size to 153 pixels. Click background areas around the subject to mark for deletion. Switch to Delete Exact brush. Remove unwanted areas such as small artifacts. Go to the Image menu. Select Autofill with Keep. Use Delete Exact brush to clean blended areas if needed. Set background to the transparent checker pattern. Click Create Cutout. Go to the File menu. Select Save and Apply.

What you need
If results are unsatisfactory, return to the Workspace tab Modify masks and repeat Autofill with Keep and Create Cutout Select the Exact Blend brush. Set brush size to 40 pixels. Brush over fine hair areas. Protect the blended mask using the Protect Mask option. Select the Delete Local brush. Delete background panels behind the subject. Go to the Image menu. Select Autofill with Keep. Use Delete Exact brush to clean remaining blended areas. Set background to checker pattern. Click Create Cutout. Zoom in to inspect fine hair details.

Import the job into Fluid Mask. Open the Color Workspace using the bottom tool palette icon. Select Histogram mode. Set graph type to Hue. Click the tallest histogram column to select dominant colors. Hold Shift and click adjacent columns to include similar colors. Select Add Delete Mask to Colors tool. Close the Color Workspace dialog.

Confirm Delete Local brush is active. Review red-highlighted delete areas. Go to the Image menu. Select Autofill with Keep. Confirm kept areas appear green. Set background to checker pattern. Click Create Cutout.
