Purpose of Default Layout Settings

  1. Use default layout settings to reduce production errors.
  2. Eliminate the need to manually apply layout settings to every job.
  3. Ensure consistent placement, rotation, and mirroring for all incoming jobs.

Accessing Queue Layout Settings

  1. Select the queue where default layout settings will be applied.
  2. Open the Queue menu.
  3. Select Q Properties.
  4. In the Q Properties dialog, select Layout Manager from the left panel.

Setting Page Position Alignment

  1. In the Layout Manager settings section, locate the Page Position icon on the right.
  2. Click the Page Position icon.
  3. In the alignment window, select the Center option.

Defining Import Scaling Behavior

What you need

  • Jobs will only be scaled down if they exceed the printable area
  • Jobs will not be scaled up
  1. Locate the Actions to Take When Importing Your Job section.
  2. Open the drop-down menu.
  3. Select Scale If Larger.

Configuring Rotation and Mirroring on Import

  1. Locate the Rotate Job on Import option.
  2. Check the Rotate Job on Import box.
  3. Select 270° from the rotation drop-down menu.
  4. Locate the Mirror Job on Import option.
  5. Check the Mirror Job on Import box.

Saving and Applying Default Layout Settings

What you need

  • All new jobs imported into this queue will be centered on the page
  • Jobs will be rotated 270° on import
  • Jobs will be mirrored automatically
  1. Click OK to save the layout settings.
