1. Use the Setup Black Removal wizard to automatically remove black from a design so the print blends into a black garment.
2. Use this wizard only for black garments.
3. Understand that the amount of black removal depends on the design, material, and white ink usage.
4. Note that the wizard uses two printing steps: Step 1: Variations of black removal

• Step 2: Variations of white ink used in semi-transparent areas

1. Ensure there are no jobs in the queue.
2. Open the Q menu.
3. Select Setup Black Removal.
4. Set the page size of the print bed.
5. Example: Set the size to 14 x 16.
6. Select the graphic to use as the print sample.
7. Set the print size to allow multiple samples on one page.
8. Click Next.

1. Set the minimum Knock Me Blackout value.
2. Set the maximum Knock Me Blackout value.
3. Set the increment value.
4. Example configuration: Minimum: 45
5. Note that lower values result in darker printed shadows.
6. Note that the default Knock Me Blackout value is 60.
7. Click Print Knock Me Blackout Chart.

• Maximum: 70

2. Click the Digital Factory window behind the wizard.
3. Locate the generated jobs in the queue with values from 45 to 70.
4. Right-click a job and select Print, or
5. Click the Print icon above the queue.
6. Print the samples for evaluation.

3. Enter the preferred black removal value.
